Swan Dive--SPLAT!

Stressful week at work. In fact, I'm not sure I've ever experienced this level of stress in my ridiculously short life. Hope to never experience it again.
First year teaching (particularly in an urban middle school) is not for wimps.
I've cried nearly everyday... to my Response to Intervention coordinator, to one of my literacy colleagues, to my Assistant Principal today... and the list goes on. I'm not a public crier, so you can imagine the humiliation I am currently experiencing.
I am greatful for friday, but I love the crap out of my kids. I would probably take them all home, if I could. One student asked me if I could be her mom today. I have another student who just moved here from Burma. He doesn't speak more than 30 words of English, but his smile melts my heart every single day. I love him. I love them all.

oh my. doesn't it break your heart when they just need someone to care about them so very much? my mom teaches reading to children who struggle in school, and she just wants to take all of them home. i even feel that way about some of my college students!

sorry to hear you had a stressful week. i guess at least if you have to have a stressful job there's some comfort in knowing it's very rewarding.

i hope next week is better!

I found your blog through the Fatshionista flickriver, and I've spent the last few hours feeling completely envious of and inspired by your outfits. I can't wait to see what you put together next :D
