Ebay Shopping

These are the new buys from ebay. I feel that I don't have nearly enough flats since I will be a teacher in about two months so I bought the green BCBGirls shoes. BCBGirls have been horrendously uncomfortable for about two years now. I'm not sure if they changed designer or manufacturer, but for a while they really sucked. Either these shoes are a few years old and never been worn, or the company decided to invest in some quality leather again. They feel divine on my feet. Also, I had to take two pictures of the button pumps because they are so cute. Since I got them, I've put them on before going to bed and admired them, trying to devise as many outfits as possible to wear them with.

The Trouble with a Sunny Day...

The Commodores-Lady
...is that you get squinty pictures. Eh. This is somewhat along the same lines of this whole Iceland infatuation I am craving, but perhaps a bit more russian.

Iceland's Back (with a Vengeance)

A Fine Frenzy-Almost Lover
Today was finally chilly enough to bust out the inspiration from Iceland that I talked about in this post. I felt so good in this outfit both with the wellies and the heels. Surprisingly, these shoes are pretty comfortable. Considering that they are my highest shoes along with the ones from this post and I was really quite comfy. Oh, and monumental moment for Carly: I didn't wear a single piece of jewelry today. Wild!

Cuffed Up

Bloc Party-I Still Remember
So, I got the idea of cuffing my skinny jeans from Rumi at fashiontoast and I think it worked out much better than I expected. This may become a staple to my fall adornment. Also, this necklace is so cool and I never wear it enough. It's a tear drop crystal from a vintage chandelier.

Poem

Here is a poem that I saw on the city bus this afternoon. A 13 year-old girl from the Denver School of the Arts wrote it (I believe her name was Hava Rosenberg). It's too pretty not to include with my outfit post.

Yesterday
you found music between the rib bones of the city
and all I could hear were car horns
We held silence between our palsm
and I couldn't tell
your fingertips
from those of the summer rain.

Uninspired

Mates of State-Goods
I spent the day at a long lunch with some friends and their daughter (with whom I got to play). Now, I have spent way too much time avoiding my homework and I will spend the evening paying for it.

Beer Bus Trip

Maritime-Parade of Punk Rock T-Shirts
Yesterday I went on a bus trip of three breweries in northern Colorado. It was so much fun with a bus full of craft beer and good company. Here are some pictures of the breweries and my outfit.

This is when I went down the Velocity Slide at New Belgium. I can not resist getting my clothes all rumpled no matter how much I love them.

This is the scar I received from the Velocity Slide at New Belgium.
