Bleeding Heart Fashionista

This outfit is from Saturday. I felt so sexy in it, but realized that I needed to shave my legs (this slightly skimpy dress leaves quite the trail of leg). I was staying at my parents house, so I had to use a horrible razor and dry shave. This is the reason for the bleeding knee in the pictures. I kept trying to stop the blood, but now I rather like the effect.

Again, yesterday's outfit. These shoes are so freaking sweet. My studetns adored them beyond all comprehension. I figured they would mock me for their retro feel (which I would have thrived off of), but instead they went crazy for the shoes.

I found these sunglasses for $6 in Chinatown and, when I put them on, Matt begged me to buy them. He used the line that always works on me: "They are so you!"
My sister is crocheting a yoga bag for my new yoga mat. I picked the colors out today at the yarn store and I am so pumped. The pattern is awesome; I like it because it looks just like something a new age yogi would make high up on a mountain during some kind of vision quest. Granted, that is so not me, but I am all about playing the part.

My Heart Beating like a Bomb in a Birdcage

So, the freezing temperatures made me want nothing but comfort. I was also irrationally afraid of falling on the ice, so I opted for a week of motorcycle boots and converse all stars.
Today, I was so desperate to dress up, I did it for no reason at all except that it was Sunday. However, when I put on my shoes, I struggled with walking! The muscles in my feet had gotten used to flats and I was stumbling like a drunk. It took about 10 minutes of picture taking for me to finally get my sea legs. Don't worry, though, I'm back in the saddle again.
I can't remember the last time I've worn flats this long. Probably in college?

I'm Prada You

I've had conferences the last two evenings and I am exhausted. Unfortunately, I've got a book that I'm dying to read and some writing that I'm getting into. Now, I don't want to go to sleep and I really should.
I would also like to send out copious thanks to all of my followers. I am now at 50, which I figured meant that I ought to commemorate this event. It is so beautiful to be surrounded by such a supportive group of fellow bloggers.

Happy Halloween

This is the closest I will get to a Halloween costume this year. Halloween has been a tough time of year for my adult years, so I've been doing the lay-low stint for the past couple of Halloweens. You all have a rowdy good time, though, and I will live vicariously through you.

All We Are Is Friends

Today was my first day of fall break (which has never meant so much to me in my entire life). I slept in until 9:40 this morning. It was glorious.
Normally, I hate it when I sleep so late, but since I've been stock piling sleep deprivation as if it were rationed, I let myself sleep as long as I wanted.
I went for another photo shoot with April and had a blast. Pictures will probably become available next weekend and they will be up on the blog. April is incredibly talented and I love working with her.

Anyway, today was our last day of school before fall break. I'm looking forward to sleeping in, watching horrible daytime TV on the satelite dish, eating like shit, cuddling my puppy, and wearing whatever the hell I want without worrying about being teacher conservative.
