Worst Conference Ever

I went to the world's worst Response to Intervention/Differentiated Instruction conference today. The most horrible part about it was that she was an elementary teacher and most of the people there were elementary teachers. They were chanting and doing cutesy activites. Myself and two other middle school teachers from my school (one math and one science) just sat there silently with eyebrows raised thinking "Yeah, my kids would punch me in the face if I tried that on them."
To ride the coattails of an ancient cliche, we were the goth kids at the pep rally.
Anyway, the conference was held at a hotel and I remembered my enchantment for hotels.
I've not spent a ton of time in hotels and those that I have were not extraordinarily glamorous. I love imagining why the occupants are staying there, I love the classical music playing quietly, the clean smell of the bathrooms, the crazy carpeting, and the free crap they give you.
That's all I like from today... Oh! And my favorite math teacher sitting next to me who kept making deprecating, sardonic comments all along the way.

Oo lala. I just love this look. I remember seeing those gloves last time I went to Target. I was tempted to get them, but opted for a knitted pair with military style buttons on the front.

I'm totally with you on those conferences! I've been out of school so many days this year to attend DI conferences and so much of it is geared towards elementary school! I wish they'd divide secondary and elementary up for those things!

Also, your outfit looks great! I like the gloves.
